J.R. Martinez Draws Standing Ovation and Tears with War Vet Tribute on DWTS

J.R. Martinez, the Iraqi war vet turned soap star, drew tears and a standing ovation for his moving routine on Monday.

The actor, who was badly burned and disfigured after he rolled over a land mine in Iraq, danced the rumba with partner Karina Smirnoff to Tim McGraws If Youre Reading This, a song about spouses who lost loved ones in war.

But before Martinez began, he said his performance was a tribute to the men and women who didnt make it home.

By the time he and his Smirnoff had finished, the audience was on its feet and there was barely a dry eye in the crowd.
