REPORT: Jerry Lewis WILL Be Back For MDA Labor Day Telethon
Jerry Lewis will reportedly return to the Muscular Dystrophy Associations Labor Day telethon after all.
The comedy icon has been reinstated at the annual fundraising event after the two sides made peace, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
So far, theres been no confirmation from Lewis or the association.
Last May, it had been announced that Lewis, who hosted the telethon for 45 years, would be retiring after the 2011 show.
Earlier this month came the surprising news that Lewis was no longer the associations national chairman and would not take part in this years telethon.
His first telethon in 1966 was carried by a single New York station and raised more than $1 million.
Last years telethon brought in nearly $59 million for muscular dystrophy and ALS research.
The organization has already announced its star-studded lineup for the September 4 event.
