Lady Gaga Opens MTV Video Music Awards as Jo Calderone

Lady Gaga opened the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards as her (male) alter ego Jo Calderone.

Calderone gave an angry, expletive-laden monologue about Gaga and fame, then sat down at the piano and delivered a powerful performance of You And I.

It was a memorable opening.
