Judge To Lindsay Lohan: Get Counseling Or Else
Lindsay Lohan went to face Judge Stephanie Sautner in court today for a progress report, which was scheduled in April when she plead no contest to misdemeanor in her necklace theft case.
While Lohan was not found in violation of her probation, the judge was clearly frustrated with her progress.
Judge Sautner noted that Lohan has only completed 33 of her required 480 hours of community service, and expressed concern that she might not finish the mandated time within a year.
She said, Im not going to give her five extra minutes. I dont want to hear, Oh, I couldnt do it because I was on the set of the John Gotti movie.
Sautner also found issue with the fact that Lohan has not yet undergone psychological evaluation, which was a part of her plea deal.
Lohans lawyer, Shawn Holley said her client hadnt yet gone to therapy because she couldnt afford it, but Sautner wasnt budging. Take someones credit card, she suggested.
She needs to get into counseling. Im going to give her 21 days to get into counseling, said the judge, adding that if she didnt receive proof of enrollment by August 11, she would revoke probation and set a hearing.
Lohans next court appearance is set for October 19.
