Smurfs Ties Cowboys & Aliens for First Place in Box Office Stunner

The Smurfs has tiedCowboys & Aliens for first place in a weekend box office upset.

The official winner wont be declared until tomorrow morning.

Those little blue animated buggers and the Daniel Craig-Harrison Ford sci-fi western both banked $36.2 million.

Coming in third wasCaptain America: The First Avenger with $24.9 million.

Deathly Hallows Part 2 and Crazy, Stupid, Love took fourth and fifth places with $21.9 million and $19.3 million, respectively.

Rounding out the Top 10 were Friends With Benefits ($9.3 million),Horrible Bosses ($7.1 million), Transformers 3 ($5.9 million),Zookeeper ($4.2 million), andCars 2 ($2.3 million).
