Prince William and Kate got $300 from British Airways after flying the commercial airline home earlier this month.
Though the Duke and Duchess were sitting in First Class, their in-flight entertainment system was broken, so to compensate for their inconvenience during the 10-hour flight, British Airways gave them a voucher for $300 worth of duty-free goods.
In a statement, British Airways said, Unfortunately, a fault with some parts of the aircrafts in-flight entertainment system couldnt be fixed before the aircraft took off from Los Angeles. We apologize to everyone affected and have offered customers either a voucher or frequent flyer miles to say sorry.
The Duke and Duchess, who general fly on private jets, opted for the $300 worth of store goods. Thats a lot of Cadbury chocolate.
What do you think of the royal snafu?
