Enquirer Alleges Turmoil Over Chaz Has Cher Nearing Mental Breakdown

Cher is on the verge of a mental breakdown because she cant come to terms with her daughters life as a man! claims the National Enquirer in a particularly nasty piece of tabloid speculation.

The magazine insists that the iconic singers emotional turmoil has reached the breaking point since her transgendered son Chaz Bono began competing on Dancing with the Stars.

The truth is, Cher hates that Chaz went on Dancing, and shes never been able to bring herself to love Chaz as a man, alleges a so-called source for the Enquirer.

According to the tabloid, Chers appearance in the shows audience only masks her inner anguish.

The source explains, It made her sick to her stomach and shes losing sleep, not eating well and headed toward a mental breakdown, because, as the Enquirer says, Cher still cant come to grips with her little girl growing up to become a man.

Were not sure whos having trouble coming to grips with Chazs transformation, but its definitely not Cher.

This could not be further from the truth, a rep for Cher exclusively tells Gossip Cop. Cher is really happy for Chaz and proud, adds the spokesperson emphatically. Cher had a great time at the show and is fine.

Cher, of course, has been supporting her son on his Dancing with the Stars stint from the very beginning, long before she actually came to see the competition in person.

Shes not just putting on a facade for television cameras, and shes certainly not on the verge of a breakdown.

The Enquirer is dancing around the truth, doing its best to ignite controversy where theres really only a mothers genuine love.
