Rihanna On Chris Brown: I Really Like The Music Hes Putting Out

Rihanna tells Esquire shes happy for ex-boyfriend Chris Browns huge success, even though their relationship ended after he assaulted her hours before the 2009 Grammys.

The singer explains that her rage toward Brown following the incident was taking up too much of my time, and shes since moved on.

It was too much anger. Im really excited to see the breakthrough hes had in his career, says Rihanna.

Browns F.A.M.E. album has produced a number of hits for him, and the performer has gradually re-entered public life as he serves his five-year probation for the felony attack on Rihanna.

Its incredible to see how he pulled out the way he did, she says. Even when the world seemed like it was against him, you know?

She adds, I really like the music hes putting out. Im a fan of his stuff. Ive always been a fan.

And while their personal relationship ended in ugly fashion, Rihanna seems to have put it behind her.

I would never wish anything horrible for him, she says.
